Adopt-a-Family
Every year, Beattie Middle School participates in the Adopt-a-Family Program, in which we sponsor families in need. Students are given the opportunity to bring gifts for the holiday season for the children of these families, as well as non-perishable food items. Students will receive a letter detailing the program today. I’ve also attached a copy, just in case your letter doesn’t make it home.
Important Information
Stay Organized!
As students transition into middle school, organization is a vital skill. I would suggest that, for the next few weeks, you check your student’s backpack, binder, and agenda every day:

1. Make sure there are no loose papers in the backpack.
2. Make sure all papers are in the binder, in rings, behind the correct divider/class.
3. Make sure the agenda is filled out. This will tell you what your student needs to do for homework.

Get Connected on Class Dojo
You should have received an invite that tells how to connect to Class Dojo. I will use this tool to keep you updated on your student’s behavior and to give you some important information. Please let me know if you have any questions.
